Maintenance
Supervisor
Manage,
organize, and direct the activities of the mechanical and electrical
maintenance crews. Responsible
for the Stonybrook power plant maintenance budget.
Responsible for maintenance and repair at the Stony Brook
power plant, including all mechanical and electrical equipment.
The incumbent must perform this function safely and
efficiently in order to maintain the plant's high level of
performance and availability. The
incumbent is the on-site maintenance expert consulted by management
supervisors and the labor force.
Incumbent acts as an advocate of MMWEC’s plans, policies,
and procedures with the company and when representing the company at
meetings and other functions. Responsible
for adhering to industry standards as applicable.
SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITY
Supervises 7 skilled tradesmen, which consist of welders, mechanics,
electricians, and a variety of contractors.
This
position is responsible for managing a functional area regarding
project and work schedules, evaluating performance of employees and
staffing and budgeting needs.
TRAINING
AND EXPERIENCE
College
or technical training (preferably involving gas and steam turbines).
Typically
requires 5-10 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in a
power plant setting. Should
have an expert knowledge of plant equipment repair, maintenance,
electrical and mechanical repairs, welding, machining, and
preventive maintenance programs.
Incumbent must have an experienced knowledge of personnel
administration, purchasing, budgets, and supervision of union
employees.

MMWEC

Senior
Engineer
Primary
duties include providing senior engineering services for the support
of a 540 mw multi unit power generation asset comprised of both
simple cycle and combined cycle units. Support systems for the power
generation asset include a natural gas transmission line, a 345 kV
radial electrical transmission line and a fuel oil pipeline.
Experience with maintaining and upgrading combustion turbine
generators, steam turbine generators, heat recovery steam
generators, condenser systems, station service distribution, plant
control networks, relay protection, SCADA systems, PLC’s,
equipment control systems, emissions reductions technologies and
ancillary support systems is required.
Proficiency with plant performance results and associated
monitoring/control systems is also required.
Engineering
support will include projects for state-of-the-art, low emissions
power generation facilities with an added emphasis on renewable
projects that utilize wind power and solar photo voltaic
technologies. Project
development support will include economic evaluations, design,
specification preparation, and directing and managing contractors.
TRAINING
& EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required
Experience:
Ten years of job related experience for major power generation
assets. Project development and project management experience for
major power generation asset upgrades desired
Additional
Requirements: Professional registration is desired. Must be able to
be NEGA certified for all pertinent aspects of natural gas pipeline
operations and maintenance.

Plan,
coordinate and manage the instrumentation and control functions,
plant performance monitoring and water treatment system.
In addition, the position is responsible for the accurate and
auditable plant data to support ISO requirements.
Incumbent must have expertise in the maintenance of plant
instrumentation and control systems, power plant performance, heat
rate analysis and economic evaluation and effective power plant
chemistry program. Incumbent

TRAINING
& EXPERIENCE:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or demonstrated work equivalent.
Experience
& Knowledge: 5 to 10 years of experience is required. Ideal candidate will have
experience trouble shooting controls preferably involving steam and
gas turbines. Proven I
& C repair, upgrade, and modification skills, with a broad
background in analog, digital and PLC controls.
Incumbent must have an experienced knowledge of
personnel administration, including supervision of union employees
and budgets.
Special
licenses/certificates, etc: Computer chemistry instrumentation control background,
Grade 1 waste water license.

is an opening for ONE (1) UTILITY WORKER AT
MOUNT
TOM
STATION REPORTING TO THE OPERATIONS MANAGER.
Individual
will perform duties as required including lifting, janitorial duties
and working in elevated positions both indoors and outdoors in any
weather for extended periods of time, as required. Individual will
work emergency and planned overtime when the need exists and will
work partial rotating shifts with six-day coverage. A high school
diploma or equivalent is required along with possession of a valid
motor vehicle driver's license from the state in which the associate
resides.
An active Massachusetts Second Class Fireman's
license is required.
